Everest Education Expedition

In Spring 2012, a team of athletes and scientists from Montana State University embarked upon an historic expedition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first successful American ascent of Mount Everest. The Everest Education Expedition includes several types of educational resources for people to learn more about Mount Everest while enhancing their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). These resources were created by Montana State University with support from Montana EPSCoR and many emphasize the relationship between the Everest region and the Northern Rocky Mountains. The site includes lesson plans, hands-on activities, videos and multimedia interactives, all of which can be used in a formal or informal educational setting.
